Tweens

In the last couple of weeks I've done mini-photoshoots with four 12-13 year old girls.  I work with them at church and wanted to give them a portrait of themselves for their birthdays. I just went to their house, found some good light and took some pictures with the goal of getting one really great one to frame for them.  It took me about 10-15 minutes each.  I was very happy with the results and thought I'd share my favorites.

I spent an hour with Patience, so I could have the chance to get to know her a little more because I haven't had the chance to get to know her father, who is her only relative in the area.  So naturally I have more pictures of her.  We went down by the courthouse and took a walk on the docks-just chatting about movies and life.  It was nice to get to know her better.  Her mother was phillipino and you can see that side of her in the pictures.
