You may recognize the cuties in the following pictures. They have both made appearances on this blog before. Here is some sweet easter fun:

Not so sure about his kissing aim in this next one.

This last one was my first attempt at using my prinesville textures for the background. Not sure what I think...I like it because I think it takes attention away from the background and looks antiquey. But I'm not sure what I'll think later.

Megan and I have been bosom buddies since we were fifteen. She was in Portland visiting her sister who just had her first baby and we did a session while she was here. This was a great session and I'm really happy with the results. It helps to have America's next (short) Top Model as your subject.

A couple of weekends ago we went on a little family vacation to Prineville, Or. While there, I had the chance to wander and take some scenic pictures as well as some macro detail pictures. I had this idea that I could take pictures of the textures and colors in the rocks, plants and trees and then bring them home and play with them in photoshop to make some earthy digital backdrops. I thought it could either look really lame or really great and unique but that I wouldn't know unless I tried. So here is a sample of the textures I collected:

I'm not really into digital backdrops, but the colors and textures of the landscape there were so rich and beautiful and I love earth tones. I wonder if there is some way I can use them in my work. This last one is just a fine art shot. The moss was such a vibrant color-it's incredible that nature makes such colors like this.
